What We Do!

Black Outside, Inc provides a variety of programming to (re) connect youth of color to the outdoors. Our programs are crafted, influenced, and executed by a diverse team of volunteers who collectively ensure each outdoor experience is not only culturally relevant but inspires a love of the outdoors.

Our Programs

Camp Founder Girls - In the summer of 2019, Black Outside, Inc proudly resurrected America's first historically Black summer camp for girls: Camp Founder Girls which began in San Antonio, TX. Today Camp Founder Girls carries on the proud legacy of Founder Girls past by providing an immersive week-long overnight camp centered on bravery, confidence, creativity, and strength for young black girls and gender expansive youth.
